The WEPCO foundry facilitates a number of leading edge processes, any one of which could be deployed to achieve the most efficient and rapid production cycles, with the highest quality stainless steel castings being produced.
Data captured from the digital measuring arm is modeled utilizing the latest 3D modeling software, before being electronically transferred to our 5 axis CNC Milling Machine.
The CNC machine produces patternless moulds quickly, accurately, and to an excellent surface finish. It is a technique whereby moulds are directly machined out of blocks of sand. This proves to be a very cost effective way of producing one-off or small production run castings, since it does not require the manufacture of patterns and core boxes.
In addition to patternless moulds, WEPCO also offers traditional wooden pattern models utilizing its in house pattern making facilities and expertise. This method offers increased benefits when batch production is required.
Three induction furnaces of differing capacities are utilized to produce materials to the required specification, offering a combined capacity of 2 tons. Should larger capacities be required, WEPCO can rely on a number of overseas foundries to assist.
