On completion of the initial assessment, we may initiate metallurgical testing in our comprehensively equipped laboratory. This metallurgical testing, using our advanced spectrometer, would enable us to assess and identify the specifications of the materials to determine all the physical and mechanical properties of the given component.
In addition to the material analysis, we could also subject the component to corrosive and durability tests, using our Corrosion Laboratory. The corrosion testing provides for rapid comparative tests of various materials and ranks them according to their suitability; all conducted using a sample of the application’s process fluid and at the specified operating process temperature. From the results obtained from both laboratories, we would make our recommendations of list of suitable materials, always bearing in mind the compatibility of the selection within the installed equipment, and not just as an isolated component consideration.
The final review prior to production of the new component is carried out under the supervision of our experienced metallurgist who will advise on the most appropriate material choice.
