APC (Alkhorayef Petroleum Co., Ltd) manufactures the WSP brand of electric submersible artificial lift systems; ESP’s – for both onshore and offshore applications.
APC has been in the ESP business since 1982, with operations, repair and maintenance facilities that were originally established in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The Riyadh ESP facility evolved and expanded from being a tear-down and repair shop in the early days to a full-scale service, test and manufacturing facility certified with ISO 9001-2000. Complete manufacturing of ESP down-hole equipment was added to the Riyadh facility late in 2002, with the first WSP brand equipment delivered to customers in 2003.
To support its rapidly expanding business, APC decided to invest in new manufacturing and repair facilities to replace the Riyadh operation and to strategically locate them in the Eastern Province 2nd industrial city of Dammam. Skilled staff and technology was transferred from Riyadh to Dammam prior to commissioning the new manufacturing plant in 2006. The new repair facility was completed twelve months later. A full range of WSP equipment is produced in Dammam including Pumps, Motors, Protectors, Gas Separators, Gas Processors, Intakes, Motor Controllers, Variable Speed Drives, Fixed Speed Drives and MLE’s.
WSP equipment is manufactured and tested to API standards. Our manufacturing and repair Plants have a full range of test equipment including horizontal benches, vibration testing, vertical full string and full load surface equipment test equipment. With more than 15,000 sq.m of manufacturing and repair space APC has the capability and capacity to deliver large quantities of high quality equipment.
More recently APC has opened a new R & D facility in Shanghai China where down-hole product development and testing is conducted to ensure that WSP are at the forefront of ESP technological development for the future of the industry and the benefit of our customers.
